Orchestrated is an organisation made up of close-knit teams developing + delivering IT products + services.



Brief


The brief provided to IN2 SPACE Interior Design and Project Management, detailed requirements for the creation of their Melbourne workspace that importantly embodied the culture + ethos of the organisation. Up until then the Melbourne team was based in serviced offices + the time had come to occupy a purposely apportioned office space to target their focused works.

The work + output of the organisation is largely bespoke + targeted specifically + individually to each of their diverse clients. The teams developing solutions + the processes take on a very dynamic + fluid formation during the creation of solutions. The  office space needed to be agile + readily flexible to cope with this.

The commercial interior design of the space needed to cater for various diverse working, brainstorming + collaborative areas whilst maintaining a dynamic + stimulating environment. Openness + transparency was a key requirement for the Melbourne office fitout.

The office design took into account the need to feel relaxed, be inviting, be cutting edge in work practices + most importantly allow fluidity.

Outcome


Orchestrated chose IN2 SPACE as their preferred commercial interior designer in Melbourne to complete this exciting office fitout project with them.

IN2 SPACE provided a complete Design + Construct service comprising of Commercial Interior Design, Documentation, Construction  + the supply of furniture + fittings for the Melbourne workspace.

The design solution allowed Orchestrated to be accommodated in an extremely flexible layout allowing for its various groups + functions to change + shift as required whilst maintaining integration, cohesion + collaboration.

The opinion was taken to totally stripout the existing space of its standard office appearance which comprised standard carpet tiles, suspended ceiling tiled grid + standard fluorescent tube lighting. A new air-conditioning system, new specialty lighting + relocated fire services were provided for the space. All services were exposed + an extensive WAP system was installed to negate the use of an elaborate structured data cabling system.

The Melbourne landmark building’s architecture played a very important part in creating + reinforcing the culture of the space. With an open shell + exposed services approach, it has an extremely relaxed yet stimulating + professional dynamic about it. Exposed concrete floors were machined + clear epoxy coated + acoustic panels were fixed to ceilings in various areas to minimise noise disruption.

Ergonomic height adjustable desking, low height desk screens + the bare minimum of walls populate the area.  One large flexible multipurpose meeting room was created to support training + meeting requirements with numerous other diverse meeting spaces throughout the floor to supplement the businesses collaboration + meeting needs.

Importantly various teams were given the opportunity to have input in the selection + purchase of some furniture + fittings + this has provided staff with a feeling of ownership + direct contribution to their space.

Orchestrated are delighted with the outcome + the resultant positive impact on the staff + business in general and we thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and assisting them to create the space.
